HOME MINISTER EXPRESSES CONCERN Not heeding to postpone the Padayatra programme, the Congress leaders are precipitating the Covid crisis in the state, said Karnataka home minister Araga Jnanendra on Wednesday, January 12. Strongly criticising the Congress leaders’ adamant attitude towards continuing their program, he said that ‘our initial apprehension over your Padayatra program is unfortunately coming true’. Renewing his appeal to the Congress leaders to end their program, he said that the Covid-19 situation would hit badly on all sections of the society, especially the poor and the working class, if the pandemic disease is not contained, the minister said. “I hope the Congress leaders who were also in power in the past would act sensibly and responsibly and call off their program,” said the home minister.
