Bengal: College student beaten to death in clash between student unions of Cong, TMC

A college student in Bengal was on Friday beaten to death during a clash between student unions of Congress and Trinamool Congress. Midnapore: A college student was on Friday beaten to death during a clash between student unions of Congress and Trinamool Congress over a dispute related to felicitation of West Bengal minister Soumen Kumar Mahapatra. Krishna Prasad Jana, a third year student of BA of Sabang College, was beaten up allegedly with sticks and bamboos in the clash which took place at the college at Sabang in West Midnapore district. District Congress president Bikash Bhuniya claimed the student had protested against felicitation of Mohapatra, West Bengal minister in-charge of water resources, and was beaten to death by TMCP.
