Miami wants to become crypto's financial capital. "New York is a great city," says Peter Smith, the cryptocurrency company's co-founder and CEO. Miami's success worries New York City's mayor-elect, Eric Adams, who fears "the city that never sleeps" is sleeping on crypto. "New York had regulation that was unfavorable, or seen as unfavorable, to the crypto industry," Smith says.
