Wimbledon 2022: Sania Mirza-Mate Pavic pair reaches mixed doubles semi-final after ousting 4th seed Peers-Dabrowski
India TodaySania Mirza and her Croatian partner Mate Pavic reached their maiden mixed doubles semi-final at Wimbledon as the 6th seeds stunned 4th seeds Gabriela Dabrowski and John Peers in a thrilling 3-set battle in the quarter-final match on Cout 3 on Monday, July 4. Sania Mirza, who has already announced that the 2022 season would be her last on the tour, and Mate Pavic will take on the winners of the final quarter-final match between Robert Farah/Jelena Ostapenko, the seventh seeds, and second seeds Neil Skupsi and Desirae Krawczyk. The celebrated Indian tennis star, a winner of the Wimbledon women's doubles title in 2015, lost in the opening round of the women's doubles event along with her Czech partner Lucie Hradecka. Notably, Sania is keeping India's campaign alive at Wimbledon 2022 after Rohan Bopanna opted out of the grass-court Grand Slam following his run to the semi-finals at French Open.
