Experts Stress on Importance of Robots in Treating Gynecological Disorders
Hyderabad: From midwives to robots, the journey of gynecology has advanced to extraordinary levels, said many specialists in the curtain-raiser to the weekend event RoboGynIndia 2023, here on Friday. The event is being jointly organised by the Association of Gynaecological Robotic Surgeons of India and the Intuitive Surgical for International conference on Robotic Gynaecological Surgery. The conference will familiarize doctors from across India with the clinical application of the latest techniques in treating gynecological disorders. There is a need to change this mindset.” Dr Rooma Sinha, organizing chairperson of RoboGynIndia, said "Robotic-assisted surgery is an advanced minimally access surgery. With the precision and dexterity of robotic systems, gynecologists can achieve superior outcomes, reduce complications, and shorter recovery times for patients.” She added that one of the common surgeries for women, the hysterectomy, is done through a small hole, or laparoscopic surgery.
