The Championship is 'weighing up a return on June 6' with the EFL close to finalising plans That could mean the second-tier will resume before the Premier League, who remain in talks But while the Premier League continues to attempt to map out its return amid the coronavirus pandemic, ESPN have claimed the EFL are confident the Championship may be able to resume on the first weekend of June. The EFL remain in crunch talks with the league's 71 member clubs but there is optimism that the Championship season can be concluded this summer. The EFL board met on Wednesday to formulate a clearer plan and discuss how they could finish the season behind closed doors as well as firmer guidelines on coronavirus testing and training sessions.
