KCR to step up focus over national politics
Deccan ChronicleHyderabad: Now that the new Secretariat in the city and the party’s central office in New Delhi have been inaugurated — two major milestones for the BRS — Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao is primed to devote much of his energy and time to national politics, meeting leaders in the national capital in a day or two. As part of the party’s plans to expand into other states, Rao is expected to meet with non-BJP leaders, including those from Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh, at the newly-inaugurated BRS central office in Delhi. A few personnel from the CM’s security wing remained in Delhi even after Rao returned to Hyderabad on Thursday, lending credence to speculations that he planned to visit Delhi again in a day or two. Apart from meeting national and regional non-BJP leaders, the CM plans to meet farmers leaders from several states to discuss the schemes to be implemented in line with the BRS campaign slogan of “Ab ki baar, kisan sarkar” for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
