Police have referred South Australian Attorney-General Vickie Chapman to the Director of Public Prosecutions over comments she made about an anti-corruption investigation. Key points: Ms Chapman's comments were retrospectively authorised by the ICAC They were investigated by police who have now referred the matter to the DPP Ms Chapman remains satisfied she did not breach the law Last year, Ms Chapman released a media statement about an investigation, without the approval of Independent Commissioner Against Corruption Bruce Lander. A State Government media adviser later contacted newsrooms to advise that repeating Ms Chapman's statement could put media outlets at legal risk. "I was advised this morning that the South Australia Police have commented in relation to a preliminary assessment by police of a statement I made last year," Ms Chapman said.
