Congress Calls on KCR to Participate in Assembly, Offer Constructive Advice
HYDERABAD: A day ahead of the resumption of the Assembly session, the Congress on Sunday accused the BRS of spreading misinformation about the performance of the state government and accused the Opposition party of not having learnt any lesson from its defeat. Making the charge in an open letter, TPCC chief B. Mahesh Kumar Goud asked BRS president and former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao to participate in the Assembly sessions and offer constructive advice. Goud said that even after the people ended the divisive BRS regime, neither Chandrashekar Rao, his family members, nor his party leaders seemed to have introspected on the poll results or changed their ways. “Restricting yourself to your farmhouse while criticising the Congress government's welfare initiatives only highlights the disconnect between your party and the people's aspirations,” Goud wrote. “Telangana's people, who endured ten years of your family's misrule, now recognise the transformative changes brought about by the Congress and will not be swayed by baseless propaganda.” The TPCC chief alleged that Rao’s governance was marked by false assurances and sidelined those who contributed to the statehood agitation, including poets, artists, intellectuals, students, workers, and employees.
