Read our privacy policy Labour has pledged to give every child with type 1 diabetes a smartphone so they can access new glucose monitoring technology. Sir Keir told ITV News: “It’s a travesty that hundreds of children with type 1 diabetes can’t afford smartphones to take advantage of new monitors which check and monitor glucose levels.
