Let’s talk about writing
“Like every year, this year we’ll talk about writing,” says Arshia Sattar, founder and director of Sangam House, the writers’ collective behind the Lekhana festival. In what Sattar describes as an “extremely general umbrella”, Lekhana brings together writers, mostly from Bangalore, to talk about their writing process and struggles. The festival opens at 6pm on Friday with an interdisciplinary conversation on the various forms of art at Jewels De Paragon on Mahatma Gandhi Road, where a majority of the sessions will be held. On Saturday, the day will begin with a workshop on “How to Get Published”, with literary agent Priya Doraswamy, editor Ajitha G.S.
