Organ donation awareness walkathon held in Coimbatore

An Organ Donation Awareness Walkathon was organised by Sri Ramakrishna Hospital in the city on Wednesday. The Police Commissioner spoke on the importance of organ donation and assured the Coimbatore City Police’s support for green corridors to facilitate organ transportation. R. Sundar said a single donor could save up to eight lives and outlined the hospital’s ongoing campaign, “Gift Organs, Give Life,” which aimed to register one lakh voluntary donors within three months. Interested individuals across India could register for organ donation by scanning the dedicated QR code or by visiting the hospital’s website and providing the required details.
