Venice to start charging for entry next year. Here's all we know

Starting in the spring of 2024, visitors over the age of 14 who aren’t staying the night will have to pay five euros to enter the floating city, Venice, on busy days. This is not a permanent move, and the city council has committed to a 30-day ’experiment' Tourist-flooded Venice approved guidelines on Tuesday for testing a new fee for day-trippers on peak visitor weekends next year.
