A unique love story has captured the attention of social media users as two women from Uttar Pradesh's Kannauj district tied the knot, after one underwent a gender change to marry the other. The daughter of a jewellery trader from Sarai Meera in Kannauj married her partner, a beauty parlour owner, on November 25. To make this union possible, the trader’s daughter underwent a gender-affirming surgery, spending approximately Rs 7 lakh on the procedures. Their love story traces back to 2020 when the two first met at the jewellery shop owned by the trader's family.
