Nellore registers growth in agri, industrial sector
Deccan ChronicleNellore: Nellore district stands sixth with Rs 1,56,106 of per capita income during 2017-18 in Andhra Pradesh, but the figure is better than the all-India average of Rs 1,12,835 and AP average of Rs 1,42,054. Planning department officials are confident of realising that target, while pointing out that the per capita income of Rs 1,56,106 in 2017-18 was an increase of Rs 67,729, over the period of 4 years, with an average growth rate of 15.34 per cent at current prices. Nellore district is targeting to achieve Rs 4,45,736 with the projected growth rate of 16.17 per cent by 2024. The district has targeted 100 per cent drinking water supply to all households with an outlay of Rs 2430 crores under external aided project out of which in the first phase, works worth Rs 1640 crores will be taken up.
