Hyderabad ranked second in office leasing with 13 million square feet absorption in 2024: Savills India

Hyderabad has secured its position as the second-largest office leasing market in India, registering a 52% year-on-year growth in 2024. The city recorded a gross absorption of 13.1 million square feet capturing a 17% share among the top six Indian cities, according to a report by global real estate advisory firm Savills India. Hyderabad’s IT-BPM sector experienced a two-fold increase in absorption levels from the previous year, solidifying its leadership in the city’s commercial real estate market. Flexible Workspaces accounted for 1.8 million square feet of leasing, while BFSI contributed 1.1 million square feet, the report said. With an anticipated 12 million square feet of leasing activity in 2025 and a substantial infusion of 15 million square feet in new supply, the city is well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of businesses and strengthen its position as a leading business hub in India,” said Sarita Hunt, Managing Director, Bengaluru and Hyderabad, Savills India.
