2-wheelers can ply on Tirumala\'s ghat roads till 10 p.m.

TIRUPATI: Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams has announced that from Saturday, two-wheelers will be allowed access to the twin ghat roads of Tirumala up to 10 p.m. TTD executive officer A.V. Following spotting of leopards along the ghat roads and Alipiri footpath, TTD had stopped movement of two-wheelers on the ghat roads from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. "After forest authorities confirmed no further threat following a week of surveillance, TTD has decided to allow two-wheelers to ply on ghat roads until 10 p.m.," Dharma Reddy stated. Anticipating a surge in footfalls due to Dasara holidays, Dharma Reddy asked officials to put in extra efforts to ensure that the event is a success, like the just concluded annual Brahmotsavams.
