S Jaishankar shuts down Pak journalist's 'nervous' question on Kashmir issue
India TodayExternal Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Wednesday addressed a pointed question from a Pakistani journalist during a discussion at the Chatham House think tank in London. The journalist, while posing his question, claimed he would make Jaishankar "little nervous" and accused India of "illegally occupying Kashmir". He further stated that "Kashmiris are up in arms" and alleged that "India has stationed one million troops to control seven million Kashmiris", before asking whether Prime Minister Narendra Modi could use his friendship with US President Donald Trump to resolve the Kashmir issue. EAM Jaishankar also addressed a range of other issues, including India's relationship with China, the internationalization of the rupee, the role of the US dollar in the global economy, and the stance of BRICS countries on the matter. Clarifying India's position on the dollar's dominance, Jaishankar said, "I don't believe there is any policy on our part to replace the dollar.
