The blast occurred at an Archer Daniels Midland Company plant in Decatur at around 7.11pm, a spokesperson for the company said. open image in gallery The explosion happened around 7.11pm last Sunday The plant operates soybean crushing and has one of the largest corn wet mills in the world. This plant also has the capacity to produce 375 million gallons of ethanol biofuel each year, making it the largest in the country, according to the Renewable Fuels Association.
