President Droupadi Murmu marks 30 years of Project Elephant at Kaziranga

President Droupadi Murmu on Friday took part in Gaj Utsav at Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve in Assam to mark 30 years of Project Elephant. President Droupadi Murmu said elephants have been integral part of our history, religion and culture. It is also important to spread awareness and sensitivity about elephants among school children,” the President said in her address. The event was also attended by Assam governor Gulab Chand Kataria, chief minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union forest, environment and climate change minister Bhupendra Yadav and a host of senior ministers, MPs, MLAs and officials.
