RBA keeps interest rates at record low but will watch home lending 'carefully'; ASX climbs

The Reserve Bank has kept interest rates at a record low and will continue its programs to pump cheap money into the banking system and economy, but has said it is watching surging home lending "carefully". "The unemployment rate fell to 5.8 per cent in February and the number of people with a job has returned to the pre-pandemic level," he observed.
