Hyderabad cops go after pharma units for dumping chemicals into Musi river

Hyderabad: Police have launched an investigation into the illegal dumping of pharmaceutical chemicals into the Musi River of Tuesday, where a truck was discarding chemical waste into the river through a specially-built manhole. A senior police officer said they are continuing their probe into Sreenivasa Labs and the pharmaceutical company’s involvement in the incident. Officials from the Telangana Pollution Control Board told Deccan Chronicle that they visited and collected samples which would be sent for analysis to identify the chemicals. The police are also investigating any other industrial waste dumping happening in Musi River.
