Nokia X platform 2.0 update not coming to Nokia X, X+ and XL devices

Yesterday Microsoft unveiled the Nokia X2 running a new software version 2.0 of the X platform. Nokia X Platform 2.0 is based on Android API 18 - corresponding to 4.3 Jelly Bean - and comes with several new changes to the user interface including a new home button and support for 1GB RAM. “Other improvements in the Nokia X software platform 2.0 can be found in the control panel, the new camera UI, Fastlane, and throughout the rest of the OS,” Nokia revealed in its Conversations blog. In the blog, Nokia also writes, “Because of the necessary hardware upgrades, the Nokia X software platform 2.0 won’t be available on Nokia X, Nokia X+ or Nokia XL.
