Action plan to reduce road accidents in Vizianagaram district: SP Vakul Jindal

Vizianagaram Superintendent of Police Vakul Jindal on Sunday said that an action plan was being prepared to reduce the number of road accidents significantly in Vizianagaram district. Against this background, Mr.Jindal held a meeting with senior officials of Bhogapuram and other areas to chalk out an action plan to stop road accidents on the route. Speaking to The Hindu here, he said that the department could reduce the incidence of road accidents on the Raipur-Visakhapatnam highway with a series of steps such as putting additional sign boards and stoppers. “We are hopeful that new measures would minimise road accidents on National Highway No-16.
