OpenAI exec says conversing with AI is no different than talking to humans, lists skills that matter in 2024

However, an OpenAI employee says that prompt engineering is quite similar to talking to human beings and that skills like reading, writing and speaking will still be quite needed in 2024. OpenAI employee on prompt engineering The OpenAI employee took to Twitter and wrote that there is a general perspective that mastering prompt engineering is seen by many as a crucial skill for future competitiveness. Prompt engineering job in demand In March this year, a job ad by a San Francisco-based AI startup named Anthropic made headlines for looking to hire a Prompt Engineer and a Librarian with a salary of up to USD 335,000 per year. If you haven’t done much in the way of prompt engineering yet, you can best demonstrate your prompt engineering skills by spending some time experimenting with Claude or GPT3 and showing that you’ve managed to get complex behaviors from a series of well crafted prompts."
