When is the right time, if ever, to introduce your child to alcohol?

Navigating teenage drinking is a challenging time for many parents. He said drinking alcohol can damage developing cabling systems in the brain involved in good decision making "that are really important to learning how to stop doing really stupid things". Professor Ian Hickie says the belief among many parents that early exposure to alcohol teaches responsible drinking is "basically nonsense".
