ISL: Mohun Bagan thrashes Mohammedan Sporting 4-0

Mohun Bagan Super Giant strengthened its position on top of the standings with a 4-0 win over its city rival Mohammedan Sporting in an Indian Super League match at the Salt Lake Stadium here on Saturday. Left-back Subhasish Bose and winger Manvir Singh shared the four goals for Bagan which increased its tally to 43 points from 19 matches to go 10 points clear of its nearest challenger FC Goa. Subhasish extended Bagan’s lead to 3-0 from a 43rd minute free-kick, when Jamie Maclaren flicked Cummings’ long delivery to set up an opportunity. Mohammedan Sporting was reduced to 10 men in injury time when its Uzbek midfielder Mirjalol Kasimov was sent off for kicking Bagan defender Tom Aldred.
