Here are some of the dangers the winter blast poses and how to protect against them: WIND CHILL Wind chill describes what the air temperature feels like to human skin from the combination of wind speed and temperature. FROST BITE AND HYPOTHERMIA Forecasters say the risk of developing frostbite and hypothermia increases as the wind chill temperature falls. Carbon monoxide can also be created when people use portable generators or run cars in their garages to stay warm or charge their phones.
