Woman constable in Kanpur accuses cop's son of rape, extortion of Rs 15 lakh

A woman constable in Kanpur has accused the son a female inspector of raping her and extorting Rs 15 lakh on the pretext of getting married. Based on a complaint filed by the constable, Kanpur Police have registered a case against inspector Anita Yadav, who is posted in Lucknow but is a resident of Kanpur, and her son Navneet. Over time, Anita allegedly took a loan of Rs 15 lakh in the constable’s name, citing marriage preparations. The woman also alleged continued physical and sexual assault by Navneet, with his mother’s complicity, and accused Navneet of threatening to make obscene videos of her public if she did not comply.
