Lockdowns in effect for millions of Australians. Here's the latest from COVID-19 press conferences across Australia

There have been new coronavirus cases in nearly every state today, but most have been linked to existing outbreaks. Five locally acquired cases in South Australia But importantly, Premier Steven Marshall said the state would not be heading into a lockdown. The Northern Territory recorded no new coronavirus cases today, but a potentially positive case in South Australia spent seven hours in Alice Springs Airport. Earlier, Northern Territory authorities announced a new mass vaccination hub would open at the Italian Club in Marrara, replacing the Royal Darwin Hospital as the main site for people to get vaccinated. Premier Mark McGowan said it was too early to know how the new case contracted the virus, but they attended the same gym as two previously confirmed COVID-19 cases.
