Pinarayi Vijayan inaugurates Oppam housing project

Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan handed over the keys and inaugurated Oppam, a housing project of Sreenarayanaguru Open University, at a function held in Thiruvananthapuram on Wednesday. The Chief Minister handed over the keys of the completed houses to Manoj, a resident of Thiruvananthapuram, Sheeba from Kollam district, and Nimisha Mol V. P. from Kottayam. “It is a matter of pride and joy that a university which has completed only four years since its establishment has been able to plan and successfully implement such a large project,” said Biju K. Mathew, chairperson of the Finance Standing Committee and Syndicate member, who planned the project. In the first phase, the university is building houses for 15 students who applied through the Oppam project.
