Cauvery Aarti at KRS dam site: Minister inspects site

Minister in charge of Mandya district N. Cheluvarayaswamy and some elected representatives of Mandya visited Brindavan Gardens in the KRS dam on Tuesday in connection with the Cauvery Aarti that the State government has proposed to introduce on the banks of Cauvery river. During the visit, the Minister told the officials to prepare a blueprint on introducing the Cauvery Aarti and submit the same to the Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Water Resources. The Deputy Chief Minister, during his visit to the KRS dam in July last year, had announced Cauvery Aarti. Also, a team from Varanasi will be invited to assist the local officials in organising the Cauvery Aarti besides identifying the spot on the river bank for the ceremony.
