Cash-strapped Pakistan may be considering legalising crypto to create revenue and generate foreign investment. The country, which has long struggled with a financial crisis, last week announced the formation of the Pakistan Crypto Council headed by Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb. As per Business Standard, the development comes despite Pakistan’s central bank for years warning that fraud, money laundering, and financial instability would result from legalising crypto.
