Hyderabad| Sankranti edition of Aakruthi Vastra 2025 to open on January 8
The HinduThe Crafts Council of Telangana will host the first installment of its bi-annual exhibition of textiles and crafts, Aakruthi Vastra. The Sankranti edition of Aakruthi Vastra 2025 will welcome visitors at a new location, the Jubilee Hills Convention Centre, Hyderabad, on January 8 and 9. Ana by Archana Reddy will display kalamkari cotton and bamboo silk Indo-western garments, and Dyelogue will showcase its collection of bandhini saris, dupattas and contemporary wear. Among the Hyderabad-based handloom collectives, Creyo will present saris woven by craft clusters across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Kanchi saris from Bengaluru-based label Bhanavi’s, Ahmedabad’s Gamthiwala’s mashroo handloom and block print saris, contemporary handloom saris from Pradeep Pillai, chanderi from Marm, tussar saris from Kolkata’s Naksha, maheshwar and tussar saris from Roopali Creations, heritage bandhini saris and dupattas from SIDR Craft, ajrakh block printed fabrics and saris from Sufiyan Ismail Khatri, handblock prints from Jaipur’s Shilpi handicrafts, and handspun tussar silk saris from Odisha’s Vriksh Designs are among the participating brands.
