Live LawThe Madras High Court on Friday expressed hope that Political Parties, Leaders, Cinema Stars, Industrialist, Cricketers and Wealthy People would adopt Medical College Students, who have been admitted in Government Colleges. In this context, the Court said, "The students from marginal sections alone are opting to get admission in the Government Medical Colleges. Those children, who get admitted in Private Medical Colleges under the Government Quota, may not be in a position to pay the amount of Rs.4 lakh approximately per year." The Additional Advocate General, appearing for respondents 2 to 4, sought time to get instructions "as to what are all the facilities going to be given to the students, who have been admitted under the Government Quota in Private Medical Colleges, as the fee is going to be paid at least Rs.4 lakhs per year."
