Yet, in an interview on the BBC's Today programme on Monday morning about the government's heavily criticised plans to begin easing the lockdown, Mr Raab said: "Starting from Wednesday, the first-step measures will begin. The prime minister had said on Sunday: "We now need to stress that anyone who can’t work from home, for instance those in construction or manufacturing, should be actively encouraged to go to work." Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer said the prime minister's announcement lacked "clarity and consensus", while "effectively telling millions of people to go back to work tomorrow" without clear guidelines.
