Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury BJP's agent: Tinamool's Abhishek Banerjee tears into Congress
India TodayThe relationship between the Bengal Congress faction and Trinamool Congress appears to be strained, with Bengal Congress chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, expressing dissatisfaction over the possibility of an alliance between the two parties in the run-up to 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Responding to Chowdhury's statement, Abhishek Banerjee, the second-in-command in Trinamool Congress, criticised the Congress leader and questioned the party's position. "In Patna, Rahul Gandhi sits beside Didi and says we will fight together, while here in Bengal, Pradesh Congress Chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury speaks the same language as that of Suvendu Adhikari and Sukanta Majumdar," said Abhishek Banerjee, referring to the contrasting statements made by Congress leaders in different states. Abhishek Banerjee went on to accuse Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury of being the Bharatiya Janata Party's biggest agent in Bengal.
