Tasmanians share how they feel about the state's borders opening to vaccinated tourists
ABCAfter nearly two years of closures and restrictions, the reopening of Tasmania's borders has brought with it a range of emotions for most locals. "I've already started to talk to friends about vaccination status, who's vaccinated, I really will want to be around people who are vaccinated and probably not get out and about as much. "With the borders shut, for me, I'm the only person in my family that's in Tasmania, the rest of the family is in Sydney or other places in Australia so it was really hard for me to see my family and I didn't get to see them for a long time, like for Easter. Joel Taylor, truck driver, Deloraine "As a truck driver in the last couple of years it's been very stressful at times, making sure COVID tests have been done before we get to borders, having passes in place, having our log books right and keeping ourselves safe all at the same time. "I counted up the other day, I've had nearly 120 COVID tests in the last two years and that's a lot for a lot of people but we're used to it.
