Yaduveer reiterates demand for CM’s resignation in the wake of ED’s statement

MP for Mysuru Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar has reiterated his demand for Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s resignation in the wake of the recent statement by the Directorate of Enforcement that the allotment of alternative sites by Mysuru Urban Development Authority to his wife Parvathi was ‘illegal’. Speaking to reporters on Saturday, Mr. Yaduveer said he as well as the BJP had taken a stand that Mr. Siddaramaiah should resign from the post of Chief Minister for his alleged involvement in the MUDA’s alternative site allotment scam. The ED’s probe has found irregularities not just in the allotment of alternative sites to Mr. Siddaramaiah’s wife, but a total of 142 sites, Mr. Yaduveer said, reiterating the need for the Chief Minister to resign as he represents all the people of the State. While making it clear that the government was not targeting the erstwhile royal family after he became the MP, Mr. Yaduveer said the legal battles would be taken care of by his mother Pramoda Devi Wadiyar, and he would not involve himself in the matter as an MP.
