Revanth to set timelines for SPEED projects

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has decided to set timelines for the completion of 19 major infrastructure projects under the state’s ambitious ‘SPEED’ initiative, official sources said. The initiative, announced in August 2024, was envisioned to accelerate Telangana's development but has seen no tangible progress in the past five months, with projects yet to move beyond planning stages. Sources added that the Chief Minister will hold a review meeting this week to finalise an action plan for the SPEED projects, ensuring their implementation begins promptly. The expansion of Hyderabad Metro Rail, construction of Hyderabad Regional Ring Road, new airports in districts, construction of Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi, construction of new Osmania General Hospital, nursing colleges, and paramedical colleges, promoting medical, eco, and temple tourism projects etc.
