Belagavi police are investigating the claim of a woman that she was partially stripped and assaulted over a land dispute in Harlapur village in Belagavi district of Karnataka on March 17. The woman complained to the police that she was beaten up by some persons, including her relatives, after being stripped partially. Superintendent of Police Bheemashankar S. Guled said, “The lady stakes claim on 4 acres 15 gunta of land of her sister-in-law. Police officers had registered two FIRs pertaining to this dispute in June and December 2024.
