Iranians protest over Mahsa Amini's death over 'improper' hijab as police call it 'unfortunate'

The Kurdish human rights group Hengaw said two men were killed on Monday in fresh protests against Ms Amini's death, but there was no immediate official confirmation of the report. "Mahsa Amini's death after injuries sustained while in police custody for wearing an 'improper' hijab is an appalling and egregious affront to human rights," the official said. Greater Tehran Police Commander Hossein Rahimi said "cowardly accusations" had been made against Iranian police, that Ms Amini suffered no physical harm, and the police had "done everything" to keep her alive.
