Hypocrite: Telangana BJP on Jaya Bachchan's 'conspiracy to defame Bollywood' motion in Rajya Sabha
India TodayAfter Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan targetted Bharatiya Janata Party's Ravi Kishan, who had raised the issue of "drug menace in Bollywood" in Lok Sabha on Monday, for "tarnishing" the image of the entire film industry, Telangana BJP said she "sounded like a full-blown hypocrite". Jaya Bachchan on Tuesday gave a Zero Hour notice in Rajya Sabha over an alleged "conspiracy to defame the film industry" and targeted BPJ's Ravi Kishan for "tarnishing" the image of the entire industry because of "some people" involved with the drug mafia. Soon after Jaya Bachchan spoke in the Rajya Sabha, Telangana BJP spokesperson K Krishna Saagar Rao attacked her, saying the Samajwadi Party MP "exhibited her irresponsibility as a Parliamentarian" by not condemning the drug menace in the industry which has "destroyed many young lives". SOUNDED LIKE A HYPOCRITE: TELANGANA BJP In a media statement, K Krishna Saagar Rao said Jaya Bachchan sounded like a "hypocrite" in the Rajya Sabha.
