Jayant Patil urges Sharad Pawar to remain NCP chief till next election

Jayant Patil, who was not part of the meeting of senior leaders with Sharad Pawar on Wednesday, said he met the veteran for a two-hour meeting on the same day. Responding to the allegations made in Uddhav Sena's mouthpiece, which suggested that Pawar resigned because many NCP leaders wanted to join the BJP, Jayant Patil said: "Tomorrow, there will be an important meeting of the committee appointed by Sharad Pawar to decide on the next successor, and all eyes will be on the outcome of the meeting."
