Uttar Pradesh schools to reopen from today for classes 9 to 12
India TodayThe Uttar Pradesh government has reopened the schools in the state from today, only for students of classes 9 to 12, after being shut for more than six months amid the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, which forced all the educational institutes in the country to shut down. The schools are only being reopened today, i.e., October 19, for students of classes 9 to 12, and, the state government has also issued a list of safety guidelines for the students to reduce the risk of the infection amid the global pandemic. Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma had also said that after proper consideration by the government, it was decided that classes 9, 10, 11, and 12 of all boards outside containment zones will be resumed. UP government’s guidelines for schools The students who will be attending schools will have to follow the protocols issued by the UP government and the central government before entering the premises to prevent the spread of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
