Police persist in Ekashila land dispute

Deccan Chronicle

Hyderabad:Pocharam police, who were recently instructed by the High Court to avoid involvement in the long-standing Ekashila land dispute, continue to interfere in the matter. This move follows an altercation in which BJP MP Etala Rajender and others allegedly attacked a realtor, escalating tensions surrounding the contentious matter. Despite the High Court's directive to steer clear of the matter, the police are now coordinating with the revenue department to ascertain the ownership status and clarify other legal aspects of the property. The complainant, Upender, has lodged complaints against Etala Rajender and five others: Yenugu Sudharshan Reddy, Shiva Reddy, Jubair Akram, Basawaraj Goud and V. Srinivas.
