RSS gets High Court nod for rally after Bengal government denies: Keep sound low

The Calcutta High Court on Friday granted permission to the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh to hold rally in West Bengal, saying that the "sound should be kept low." The order comes a day after the RSS moved the High Court after the Mamata Banerjee-led West Bengal government denied them permission to use the public address system at the Sarsanghchalak Bhagwat's public meeting in Burdwan. The district administration had earlier denied permission for the use of microphone in the said public meeting, citing the ongoing Madhyamik examinations in the state. The High Court's ruling comes as a big setback for the state government as it had denied permission to use the public address system or loudspeakers at the Sports Authority of India grounds.
