David Davis tells Boris Johnson: 'In the name of God, go'

The Telegraph

The former Brexit minister has demanded Boris Johnson's resignation during Prime Minister's Questions, as he told the PM: "In the name of God, go!" David Davis said he spent "weeks and months defending the Prime Minister" and reminded constituents of his success in delivering Brexit and the vaccine rollout. "But I expect my leaders to shoulder the responsibility for the actions they take," he told MPs. It came after as many as 11 of Mr Johnson's own Red Wall MPs submitted letters of no confidence this morning as part of a 'pork pie plot' to oust him and Christian Wakeford, the Tory MP for Bury North, defected to Labour.
