Hechi holds traditional Chinese New Year Celebrations
China DailyThis Chinese New Year holiday, Hechi will host a multitude of cultural and tourism activities featuring galas, light shows, and folk customs. On Feb 23, Nandan county will host an important festival of the Baiku Yao people – the Baiku Yao New Year street festival – at the Yaowangtianxia Scenic Area. The event will showcase a vibrant array of traditional ethnic sports competitions such as cockfighting, archery, and spinning tops, as well as exhibitions of intangible cultural heritage items such as the traditional bronze drum dance, offering a vivid display of Baiku Yao folk culture. From Feb 6 to 24, the Mulam autonomous county in Luocheng will hold the Zoupo Festival at the Luocheng Cultural Square and Chenglong Lake Park, featuring galas and exhibitions of intangible cultural heritage items.
