Bengaluru police divisions up from 8 to 11

The Hindu

To provide better security to an ever-expanding Bengaluru, the city police area has been revamped from eight divisions to 11. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also allotted a ₹5 crore grant to the cybercrime division so that it could tackle the growing number of cybercrime and narcotics cases. To ensure the fitness and well-being of police personnel, the government has increased the amount allocated for individual annual health check-ups from ₹1,000 to ₹1,500. Under the ‘Police Gruha-2025’ scheme, residential quarters worth ₹300 crore will be constructed this year for police personnel.
